Invader – Top 10… Rubik’s Cube madness

Rubiks Cube mastery like you’ve never seen before!! French street artist Invader takes the cubed puzzles of madness and forms them into pixel-based units used to re-create famous album covers. Coining this technique as Rubikcubism, Invader is the first street artist to use this pixilation to translate pop culture in a nice, digestible format. Aside from the fact this kind of work aesthetic borders on insanity, the pieces he creates are mesmerizing things of beauty. As if that wasn’t enough, he is having his first-ever solo show at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York from now through July 29. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. He is usually completely masked in public and hits various places without any fanfare, so this exhibit is sure to be something special.
